10′ Insulated Container – Compact Thermal Storage
Here's what this container is, so you know what you're getting. It's a 10-foot steel shipping container with insulation fitted to the walls and roof. Outside, it measures roughly 10 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 8.5 feet tall. The insulation takes a few inches off the inside, so usable space is slightly smaller.
What people use it for
Big temperature swings can ruin a lot of the stuff people store in ordinary containers. Paint, cosmetics, electronics, and wine all dislike extreme heat, so an insulated box helps. Plenty of people also turn one into a small office, workshop, or site cabin. Pop-up shops and coffee kiosks like them too, since the inside stays more comfortable. Some buyers just want dry storage for stock that shouldn't freeze in winter.
The good points
Insulation slows heat moving in and out, so the inside stays steadier than a bare steel box. It also cuts down condensation, which drips from bare steel walls and spoils stored goods. The steel shell still gives you the strength, security, and lockable doors of a normal container. Heating or cooling it later costs less, because the warm or cool air stays inside.
The honest bits
Insulated does not mean refrigerated, and that mix-up causes a lot of returns. On its own, it won't keep food cold or hold a set temperature. For that, you need a cooling unit or an air conditioner, plus a power supply. Ask what the insulation is made of, such as spray foam, rockwool, or foam panels. Thickness matters too, along with a vapor barrier and fire rating. Any wiring for lights, sockets, or a cooler should be done by a licensed electrician. An empty one weighs a bit more than a standard box, so it needs a firm, level base. Delivery needs a tilt-bed truck or crane, plus room to maneuver. Check local rules too, since some areas ask for a permit. Find out whether it's new, one-trip, or used, since that changes price and condition.
If you run a business
If you run a hire firm, site supply shop, or garden center, these can be a handy extra. Buying through a wholesale distributor usually brings your cost per unit down. You also get straight answers about insulation type, condition, and how units get delivered. Freight is the big cost with containers, so ask about it before you order.
That's all we do really: tell you what we have, ship it, and let you decide.
