10′ Insulated Container – Storage & Transport
Here's what this container is. It's a 10-foot steel shipping container with insulation fitted inside the walls and roof. Outside, it measures roughly 10 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 8.5 feet tall. The insulation takes a few inches off the inside, so usable space is a bit smaller.
What people use it for
This one suits goods that dislike big swings in heat and cold. Think of things like wine, chocolate, paint, electronics, and art or craft supplies. A lot of small food businesses also like them for dry goods and packaging. Event caterers and market traders use them to store stock between shows. Because it's a container, you can also move it by truck or ship when needed. Some buyers use it as a small workshop or site office as well.
The good points
Insulation slows down heat moving in on sunny days and out on cold nights. It also cuts condensation, which drips from bare steel and spoils stored goods. The steel shell still gives you strength, security, and doors that lock. Heating or cooling it later costs less, because the air stays inside. Fitting lights or sockets inside is easier too, since the walls are already lined.
The honest bits
Insulated does not mean temperature controlled, and that mix-up causes plenty of returns. On its own, it slows temperature changes but can't hold a set temperature. For food, medicine, or anything strict, you need a cooling unit and power. If you need a true refrigerated container, that's a different product called a reefer. Ask what the insulation is made of, like spray foam, rockwool, or foam panels. Thickness, vapor barrier, and fire rating all matter, so ask for those details. An empty one weighs a little over 2,800 pounds, so it needs a firm, level base. Delivery needs a tilt-bed truck or crane, plus room to maneuver. Check local rules too, since some areas ask for a permit before placement. Ask whether it's new, one-trip, or used, because that changes price and condition.
If you run a business
If you run a hire firm, catering supplier, or garden center, these can earn their space. Buying through a wholesale distributor usually brings your cost per unit down. You also get straight answers about insulation type, condition, and delivery. Freight is the big cost with containers, so ask about it before ordering.
That's all we do really: tell you what we have, ship it, and let you decide.
